There are many Indonesian translation companies claiming that they are reliable and trusted, how can I be sure that ProBahasa is one of them?

We are a notary approved translation company under the company register number: 503/220/SIUP-K/423.207/2012 issued by the City Government of Pasuruan - East Java, Indonesia, with an official and registered office located at Jl. Kedondong Raya H9-26 Perum Bugul Permai - Bugul Kidul, Pasuruan City. In addition, we are a member of the Association of Indonesian Translators.

I have browsed through the Internet and found out that most of the Indonesian translation companies provide multilingual translation services. Does ProBahasa provide the same services?

No, we do not. Unfortunately, we provide English to Indonesian and Indonesian to English translation services only and sometimes, upon the urgent request, we provide English to Javanese and Javanese to English translation services. We would like to announce here that we are a translation company declaring to only provide languages that we fully master; English, Indonesian and sometimes Javanese.

I want to have my document/file translated and I am not sure if the translation company I assign to handle it can keep its confidentiality due to the nature of the document/file itself. How can I be sure that this strict request can be met?

We normally use email hosted by our own server, but for security guarantee, we can provide you with file delivery/transfer over our ftp [ftp.probahasa.com]. We will create one unique account that you can use to download and upload the document/file. We also provide you with some free document/file transfer platforms such as Dropbox, Gmail, Yahoo!, Yousendit, etc.

I want to get the exact quote of the document/file I want to translate, including its turnaround and the related things. I have browsed through the ProBahasa's website and found out that there is no special form or area catering to this request. How can I get it?

Well, we do not cater to this need by accident. We intentionally make such condition for you to get a very detailed quote on the document/file you want to translate. Please send your query to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. , write and post your needs as very detailedly as possible in cover letter. We are very sure that this visible email does not limit the character or words you want to write or post and file you want to attach.

I do not have PayPal account due to my country's policy. How can I pay the services ProBahasa has provided and what currencies does ProBahasa currently accept?

We have considered this situation and are flexible about this. We can accept payment through Moneybookers or Skrill, Bank Transfer, Check and Western Union and we accept IDR, USD, AUD, SGD and EUR currencies. We hope this will solve your problem. :-)

I am a local client, living in Indonesia and want to have my document/file translated. How will I be charged?

Thank you for asking this question. As we are a notary approved company and we are supposed to run a sound business based on 'win-win' solution by not lowering our rate in order to win the project against other local translation companies, we adopt the rates enacted in accordance with the Regulation of Minister of Finance, Republic of Indonesia No. 84/PMK.02/2011. Please refer to http://www.hpi.or.id/lang/id/acuan-tarif-penerjemahan for the details. If you are an international client meaning that you live outside Indonesia, just contact us to get free quote. We are happy to discuss this with you.

I am a type of hassle-free person and want to have everything ready in one package. Can you fulfill this need?

Of course, we can. We have catered to this need since our company was established. We can provide you with translation, editing and proofreading or TEP services at one competitive rate. As this is a full service you take, we would guarantee the service output we produce for an unlimited time with NO CHARGE in case you need to revise or update your document/file.

CAT Tool issue is now trending, but I am not pretty sure about this. Could you please explain about this and is it the same to Machine Translation?

You are correct and we would explain these to the best of our knowledge. CAT Tool is software that provides the translator with text and terminology standards taken from the database, created by previous translation, providing accuracy, consistency and guaranteed quality as well as time dan cost savings to client, while Machine Translation or Automatic Translation is translation made without the interference of human, not considering the semantic and grammatical aspects-the quality produced by this Machine Translation or Automatic Translation is inferior.

Do you equip your company with these CAT Tools?

Yes, we do. We have some CAT Tools ready to produce the quality translation to your standard. Just let us know the type of document/file you want to translate and we would pick one that best suits your document/file nature.

I am the representative of one of the international translation companies serving multilingual translation services and would collaborate for Indonesian translation project. Would it be possible?

Yes, it would. Since 2010 we have already worked hand in hand with other fellow translation companies around the world. They designate us to be their sole vendor to manage their Indonesian projects, from translating, editing, proofreading to other Indonesian-and-Javanese-related needs.
